The Green Knight
A holiday movie through and through. The Green Knight takes place on two days: Christmas, and one year later also on Christmas. Can't beat that. You know what else is hard to beat? The Green Knight. He shows up to King Arthur's court and asks who will play a Christmas game (he actually calls it this). The rules: one brave knight gets a free blow against the emerald skinned knight, and one year from that day, the knight may return the blow exactly as received. Sir Gawain, King Arthur's reckless and headstrong nephew, takes up the challenge and maybe goes a little too hard with the game, with unexpected results. One year later, his actions lead him on a fantastical quest to confront his fate, whatever it may be. The film is exciting, with scrumptious visuals served throughout.
