The Big Lebowski
Part of March Mysteries at Central Cinema, it's the Coen Brothers' outrageously insane film-noir comedy of bowling, confused identities, naked performance art, porn-obsessed nihilists, and unforgettable musical dream sequences. Devoted bowler and white Russian drinker Jeff Lebowski's beloved rug is ruined by two ruffians who mistakenly believe him to be a millionaire with the same name. Jeff then meets with the richer "Big Lebowski" seeking compensation for the rug. In doing so, Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski finds himself tangled up in a high stakes kidnapping scheme which threatens to interupt his bowling schedule. Jeff Bridges gives his most iconic performance as the slacker caught in the middlle of a mystery.
