Dune
When it comes to filmed adaptations of Dune, David Lynch's version is undisputibly the very best one released in the 1980s. <div><br></div><div>The mostly benevolent House Atreides takes on the vicious House Harkonnen as they battle over "the spice" on planet Arrakis (which we will call "Dune"). Their feud leads Atreides heir-apparent Paul to team up with the planet's locals to fight for control of the valuable resource, as well as the honor of the Atreides name. </div><div><br></div><div>Unlike some adaptations that take their time, this one boldly crams the whole book into 137 minutes. Led by local hunk Kyle MacLachlan, the cast delivers solid performances all around. It's a lot of fun, and totally worth a watch on the big screen. </div>ActionPT2H16MPG-13Kyle MacLachlan
