Bottoms
PJ (Rachel Sennot) and Josie (Ayo Edebiri) are practically ignored at their high school, which makes it difficult to get girlfriends. They come up with a plan: start a self defense club for women, get their crushes to join, and then surely the objects of their affection will fall madly in love with them. But they find themselves in over thier heads when the members are far more drawn to the fighting than the girls who started the club. <div><br></div><div>Bottoms is smart, very funny, and, like its main characters, was overlooked by the popular crowd upon release. Thankfully its audience has grown since release thanks to the strong script filled with delightfully absurd moments and a memorably rediculous finale. The film holds a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, and is very worth a trip to the theater. </div><div><br></div><div>Seattle Connection: Former Seahawk Marshawn Lynch plays a history teacher who becomes the clubs faculty advisor. His part is one of the funniest roles in the movie, and that's saying something given how well written the dialog is. <br><br><br></div>ComedyPT1H31MRRachel Sennott
